A support platform for daredevil creatives, PATHFINDER is a hub built to support and empower human rights-oriented U.S. and international filmmakers by connecting them to artistic and financial support.

PATHFINDER is proud to present the Development and Post-Production programs, both of which provide opportunities, mentorship, and all other kinds of professional support.
PATHFINDER winners will be given prizes and robust development and/or co-production support that will help bring projects in development or post-production closer to their desired goals. Applications of feature narrative and feature documentary projects in development, as well as films in post production, are accepted for participation in the program from all parts of the world.

 

1) PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT

Projects in development are those for which principal photography has not yet
started. Pathfinder will offer various awards, partnerships, and other support to
the best project in development. Additional awards will be presented in collaboration with local and regional institutions.

 

2) FILMS IN POST-PRODUCTION

Films in post-production are films for which the principal photography has been completed and work on post-production is still in progress. Pathfinder will offer an award to the best film in post-production. Additional awards will be presented in collaboration with local and regional institutions.

 

3) LIGHTHOUSE AWARD

The Lighthouse Award for Independent FIlmmakers is awarded to the filmmaker(s) whose project shows exemplary use of the craft to tell a story so human, it’s impossible not to admire. As a “beacon” to filmmakers on how to capture the human spirit, the Lighthouse Award winner will receive mentorship and other prizes intended to help them grow to the next level.
